What a great keepsake, which is I suspect, exactly its purpose all those years ago.
Appears to be a pewter tankard, so not the actual Regatta Cup, but the equivalent of commemorative glassware which is given today.

I expect the winner had it inscribed to mark the occasion? There must be a few of these about somewhere, some inscribed; some not.

Mancuna built Jack Powles, early 30s if I remember, either with Bermudan rig or flirted with one since.

Difficult to add much more to what's already been said. Mancuna's still about and the date on the wine cooler is pre NBYC - so it's likely to have been Wroxham Open Regatta - rather than a club event (they'd have engraved the club name too). Nice thing to have for about a tenner - but possibly worth more if you own the boat. OF
