Prof. Turner hits back with the facts so that's all right, then!

No, it b****y well isn't. Prof. Turner, you speak with forked tongue.

The Kilner letter 24.5.06 says you cannot call the area a National Park.

Another, very recent, letter is available from DEFRA saying similar.

DEFRA has written to toll payers confirming their policy.

The first draft of the Blasted Bill included as its first change, a new name - guess what? Whose Bill is it, Prof. Turner? Did you read it?

The second draft removed the change of name but included a new clause allowing a change of name at any later date. It was spotted and removed.

Who put those signs up at Whitlingham, the tooth fairy?

Get real, Sir and stop your awful posturing: you fool no-one. When in a hole.....

For heavens sakes, Mardler, don't suggest that they stop digging, especially on Oulton Broad.

What really pees me off is this apparent assumption by various script writers at Colgate that we are all gormless idiots. We have brains, we have eyes, we do remember what was previously said, written and done.

Turner has added to the ever growing void between the good folk of Broadland and Colgate in spectacular fashion by these latest comments.

Still, he is going soon. Anyone know who his replacement is, for certain? There is one strongly tipped candidate doing the rounds, oh dear! Coffins and nails spring immediately to mind on that one .

Following the Chief Executive's recent visit to Florida you can expect to see more of these on the Broads shortly. Aligator wrestling Seminoles should please the tourism lobby whilst a few may go missing around Swan Lane, Long Stratton. A word of advice to the unwary. 'Gators run more quickly than humans - so you won't get away. Happily they also have a very small brain so if you start changing direction quickly, they struggle to cope.

Could it be that the putative new chairman is already using non political Broads Authority to settle old scores?
